Crisp Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c shortening
• 1 c brown sugar
• 1 c white sugar
• 2 eggs beaten
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 12 c flour sifted
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 3 c oatmeal
• 12 c chopped nuts

Directions

1. Cream shortening and sugar
2. Add eggs and vanilla
3. Beat well Sift dry ingredients
4. Add to creamed mixture together with oats and walnuts mix well
5. Chill and drop on ungreased cookie sheet Bake at 350
6. Yields 5 dozen
