Crisp Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c butter or margarine softened
- 2 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 5 c all-purpose flour
- 1 12 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 c milk
Directions
- In a mixing bowl cream the butter and sugar
- Add eggs and vanilla
- Combine flour baking powder baking soda and salt add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk
- Cover and refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes
- On a floured surface roll out dough to 18-inch thickness
- Cut out cookies into desired shapes and place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet
- Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until edges are slightly browned
- Yields 8 dozen 2 12-inch cookies
