Crispy Baked Onion RingsLow-Fat

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet onions
  • 1 7 oz pkg corn flakes cereal crushed
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 c egg substitute
  • vegetable cooking spray

Directions

  1. Cut each onion into 4 thick slices separate into rings reserve small rings for another use
  2. Set aside
  3. Combine cereal and next 3 ingredients divide in half and set aside
  4. Beat egg substitute at high speed with an electric mixer until soft peaks form
  5. Dip half of onion rings in egg substitute dredge in half of crumb mixture
  6. Place in a single layer on baking sheets coated with cooking spray
  7. Repeat procedure with remaining onion rings egg substitute and crumb mixture
  8. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until crisp
  9. Serve warm
