Crispy Oven Chips

Ingredients

  • 12 c oleo
  • 6 medium size potatoes
  • 1 tsp onion salt or onion powder
  • dash of pepper
  • dash of chili powder

Directions

  1. Melt 12 cup oleo in large shallow baking pan
  2. Pare potatoes and slice crosswise into 14-inch slices
  3. Coat both sides of potato with oleo in baking pan and place 1 layer deep
  4. Sprinkle with onion salt pepper and chili powder
  5. Bake at 425 until browned about 25 minutes
  6. The potatoes can be cut into wedges instead of crosswise
