Crisscross Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c shortening
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 c peanut butter
- 3 c sifted flour
- 2 tsp soda
- dash of salt
Directions
- Thoroughly cream shortening sugar and vanilla
- Add eggs and beat thoroughly
- Stir in peanut butter
- Sift dry ingredients Stir into creamed mixture
- Form into tiny balls
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet
- Press with back of fork to make crisscross
- Dough may also be rolled and cut if desired
- Bake in moderated oven at 350 for 10 minutes
- Makes 8 dozen
