Crock-Pot Roast Beef

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 to 3 carrots peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 to 2 onions peeled and sliced
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 3 to 4 lb brisket rump roast or pot roast may be used
  • 14 c water or beef consomme

Directions

  1. Place vegetables in bottom of crock-pot
  2. Salt and pepper meat
  3. Place into pot
  4. Add liquid and cover
  5. Cook on low for 10 to 12 hours high 5 to 6 hours
  6. Remove meat and vegetables with spoon
  7. Thicken remaining liquid for gravy if desired
