Crock-Pot Swedish Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 12 large cabbage leaves
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 14 c milk
  • 14 c finely chopped onion
  • pinch of salt
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 1 lb ground turkey or hamburger
  • 1 c cooked rice
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Place cabbage leaves in microwavable dish with 2 to 4 tablespoons water and microwave for about 3 minutes or until cabbage is limp
  2. Combine egg milk onion salt pepper meat and cooked rice
  3. Place about 14 cup meat mixture in center of each leaf fold in sides and roll ends over meat
  4. Place in crock-pot Combine tomato sauce with brown sugar lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce
  5. Pour over cabbage rolls
  6. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours
  7. Serves 6
