Crunchy Caramel Chocolate Chews

Ingredients

  • 14 c margarine
  • 14 c all natural Grandmas molasses
  • 2 c crushed bite size crispy rice squares cereal
  • 40 Kraft caramels
  • 3 Tbsp milk
  • 1 6 oz pkg Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels 1 c
  • 1 c chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Melt margarine with molasses over low heat Stir in rice squares
  2. Press into greased 9-inch square pan Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
  3. Melt caramels with milk in heavy saucepan over low heat stirring frequently until smooth
  4. Pour over crust Sprinkle with chocolate morsels and nuts
  5. Cool
  6. Cut into squares
  7. Makes 16 squares
