Ingredients

  • 2 c flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 14 c butter
  • 533 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1 egg
  • 14 c sugar
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 23 c currants
  • sugar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400
  2. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup In medium bowl combine flour sugar baking powder and salt Blend well
  3. Using fork etc cut butter until mixture is crumbly Stir in currants
  4. Combine milk and egg add all at once stirring just until moist
