DadS Chili
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb ground chuck
- 2 onions chopped
- 3 tsp chili powder per lb ground chuck
- 12 tsp cayenne add more for hotter chili
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 2 16 oz cans hot chili beans
- cracker meal
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Fry meat in skillet until done drain well
- Put meat chili powder cayenne salt and pepper in large pot
- Fill with water Boil 3 to 4 hours adding water when needed
- Add onions
- Cook until tender
- Add tomato sauce stir well
- Spoon off grease that is floating on top
- Add a little cracker meal for grease you cannot remove
- This helps thicken chili
- Add 2 more teaspoons chili powder
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Add beans
- The longer the meat and chili powder boil the better the chili taste
