Danish Pastry Apple Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 12 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 c shortening
  • 1 egg yolk reserve egg white
  • enough milk to make 23 c with egg yolk
  • 2 handfuls cornflakes crushed
  • 8 apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp water

Directions

  1. Mix together and drizzle over bars while warm
