DanS Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c 8 oz butter
• 1 34 c sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp brandy or vanilla extract
• 1 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
• 14 c sour cream
• 2 c unbleached all-purpose flour
• 34 c cocoa
• 12 tsp baking soda
• 14 tsp baking powder
• 12 tsp salt
• 12 oz white chocolate chopped 2 c
• 1 c chopped shelled Brazil nuts or almonds

Directions

1. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy Beat in the eggs one at a time Beat in the brandy
2. Melt the chocolate in dish over hot water Stir the melted chocolate and sour cream into the creamed mixture Sift together the flour cocoa baking soda baking powder and salt
3. Stir the dry ingredients gradually into the melted chocolate mixture to form a batter
4. Stir in the white chocolate chips and nuts Drop the batter by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
5. Makes about 5 dozen
