Date-Nut Pudding

Ingredients

• 1 c dates cut up
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 c boiling water
• 1 Tbsp butter
• 1 c sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 c flour
• dash of salt
• 1 c chopped nuts

Directions

1. Mix soda with dates
2. Pour boiling water over dates and stir Let set while mixing the rest
3. Mix butter sugar and eggAdd to dates
4. Put tablespoon flour over nuts
5. Stir and mix with date mixture
6. Batter will be thin
7. Put in 8 x 8 pan
8. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes
