Date Cake Squares

Ingredients

• 1 c chopped dates
• 34 c chopped pitted prunes
• 12 c dark raisins
• 1 14 c water
• 8 Tbsp margarine
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 c flour regular flour
• 18 packets Equal
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 14 tsp salt
• 12 tsp cinnamon
• 14 tsp nutmeg
• 14 c chopped nuts

Directions

1. Combine dates prunes raisins and water heat to boiling Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until tender and water is absorbed about 10 minutes Remove from heat Add margarine and cool Mix eggs until stiff Spread in a greased 11 x 7 x 2 pan Bake at 350 until cake springs back when touched lightly about 30 to 35 minutes
