Date Nut Candy

Ingredients

• 2 c sugar
• 1 stick margarine
• 1 small can Carnation milk
• 1 8 oz pkg dates chopped
• 1 c pecans chopped

Directions

1. Mix sugar margarine milk and dates in saucepan cook until thick or makes a ball in cold water
2. Beat until it begins to get thicker
3. Add pecans and beat some more
4. When it gets so thick you cannot beat it put in a damp cloth and roll it up
5. Let set for at least 2 hours then slice into pieces
