Deep South Greens

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch collard greens
  • 3 or 4 ham hocks

Directions

  1. Pick leaves off stems
  2. Throw stems away
  3. Cut up leaves wash
  4. Wash ham hocks
  5. Put ham hocks in 3-quart pot full of water
  6. Cook ham hocks until tender
  7. Put greens in with ham hocks
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Cook until leaves are soft
  10. Serve with Southern Fried Cornbread
