Delicious Custard

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 14 c cornstarch
- 34 c sugar
- 12 tsp salt
- 2 c milk
- 2 slightly beaten egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Melt butter Blend in cornstarch sugar and salt
- Gradually add milk
- Heat to boiling over direct heat
- Stir into slightly beaten egg yolks
- Return to heat and cook 2 minutes stirring constantly Add vanilla Cool thoroughly
- Makes 2 cups
- Serve plain or with cream
- Excellent for banana cream pie
