Delicious Custard

Ingredients

• 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
• 14 c cornstarch
• 34 c sugar
• 12 tsp salt
• 2 c milk
• 2 slightly beaten egg yolks
• 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

1. Melt butter Blend in cornstarch sugar and salt
2. Gradually add milk
3. Heat to boiling over direct heat
4. Stir into slightly beaten egg yolks
5. Return to heat and cook 2 minutes stirring constantly Add vanilla Cool thoroughly
6. Makes 2 cups
7. Serve plain or with cream
8. Excellent for banana cream pie
