Deluxe Pork Chop Suey
Ingredients
- 1 c fresh lean pork shredded
- 1 medium onion sliced thin
- 1 Tbsp soya sauce
- 3 c or 12 lb fresh bean sprouts
- 12 c shredded bamboo shoots
- 12 c sliced water chestnuts
- 12 c sliced canned mushrooms or 1 c fresh sliced
- 12 to 34 c sliced celery
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 13 c water
- 2 Tbsp oil
Directions
- Marinate strips of pork and onion in soya sauce for 20 minutes Dissolve cornstarch in water
- Heat oil until it begins to smoke in a wok or skillet
- Add pork and onion and stir-fry until pork is browned Cover and cook 3 more minutes until thoroughly cooked
- Uncover and add bean sprouts and celery Stir and cook 2 minutes Add rest of ingredients and stir-fry thoroughly
- Cover and cook 3 more minutes
- Uncover and add cornstarch solution stirring thoroughly before adding to the wok
- Shut heat off and stir all food together Serve over rice Serves 4 to 6
