Dill Pickles
Ingredients
- 30 cucumbers
- 12 c coarse salt
- 2 qt water
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic
- 4 bay leaves
- 14 tsp mustard seed
- 1 tsp mixed pickling spice
- 10 sprigs dill
Directions
- Wash and dry cucumbers
- and arrange in a crock or jar
- Bring salt and water to a boil
- Cool then add vinegar garlic bay leaves mustard and pickling spices
- Pour over cucumbers Arrange dill over all
- Liquid should completely cover cucumbers If not add more salt water
- Keep in a cool place for one week
