Ingredients
- 2 12 c sugar
- 12 c light Karo syrup
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 14 tsp salt
Directions
- In saucepan combine sugar corn syrup salt and 12 c of water
- Cook to hard boil stage 260 degrees boiling about 20 minutes stirring until sugar dissolves
- Meanwhile beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks
- Pour syrup over stiff egg whites beating at high speed with an electric mixer
- Add vanilla and beat until the candy hold its shape
- Spoon onto waxed paper Makes 40 pieces
