Dole Golden Layer Cake
Ingredients
- 1 20 oz can Dole crushed pineapple in juice
- 1 8 oz carton frozen whipped topping thawed
- 1 4 serving size pkg instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 16 oz pkg frozen pound cake thawed
- 13 c almond flavored liqueur or 13 c pineapple juice and 12 tsp almond extract
- Dole sliced pineapple optional garnish
- 14 c sliced almonds toasted optional garnish
Directions
- Combine undrained pineapple whipped topping and pudding mix let stand 5 minutes
- Cut cake lengthwise in thirds
- Drizzle with liqueur
- Spread one-third pudding mixture over bottom layer of cake
- Top with second layer
- Repeat layering ending with pudding
- Chill 30 minutes
- Sprinkle with toasted sliced almonds garnish with pineapple slices if desired
- Serves 12
