DonnaS Lasagna
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz mild or hot Italian sausage
- 1 14 12 oz can tomatoes pureed
- 2 6 oz each cans tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 3 Tbsp dried parsley divided
- 1 Tbsp dried basil
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1 12 tsp salt divided
- 9 lasagna noodles about 8 oz
- 3 c 24 oz cream-style cottage cheese
- 2 eggs beaten
- 12 tsp pepper
- 12 c grated Parmesan cheese
- 16 oz Mozzarella cheese thinly sliced
Directions
- In a Dutch oven brown ground beef and sausage drain excess fat
- Add pureed tomatoes tomato paste sugar 1 tablespoon parsley basil garlic and 1 teaspoon salt
- Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes
