DorothyS New England Apple-Raisin Bread

Ingredients

• 1 12 C whole wheat flour
• 1 C sugar
• 2 Tbsp cocoa
• 1 tsp soda
• 12 tsp each salt cinnamon nutmeg and allspice
• 12 C buttermilk
• 6 Tbsp melted butter
• 1 C raisins OR 12 C snipped dried prunes
• 12 C walnuts
• 1 C applesauce

Directions

1. Blend flour sugar cocoa soda salt and spices in a large bowl
2. Stir together buttermilk applesauce and butter
3. Combine above stirring until just moistened
4. Fold in raisins and nuts and turn into greased and floured 6 12 C ring mold
