Double Quick RollsMakes 1 Dozen Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 14 c flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pkg yeast
- 1 c warm water
- 2 Tbsp shortening melted
- 1 egg
Directions
- Mix flour sugar salt and yeast in a large bowl
- Add water shortening and egg
- Beat until smooth
- Cover and let rise in a warm place until double in bulk about 30 minutes
- Stir down batter by beating about 25 strokes
- Spoon into 12 greased muffin tins
- Let rise until batter rounds over tops of cups about 20 to 30 minutes
- Heat oven to 400
- Bake until golden brown 15 to 20 minutes
