Doubly Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c 2 sticks butter softened
- 1 12 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 c all-purpose flour
- 23 c cocoa powder
- 34 tsp baking soda
- 14 tsp salt
- 12 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 c chopped nuts optional
Directions
- Heat oven to 350
- In a large bowl beat butter sugar eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy
- Stir together flour cocoa baking soda and salt
- Add to butter mixture
- Stir in chips and nuts
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or just until set
- Cool slightly
- Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack
- Cool completely Makes about 4 12 dozen cookies
