Doubly Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c 2 sticks butter softened
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 23 c cocoa powder
  • 34 tsp baking soda
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 12 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 c chopped nuts optional

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350
  2. In a large bowl beat butter sugar eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy
  3. Stir together flour cocoa baking soda and salt
  4. Add to butter mixture
  5. Stir in chips and nuts
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet
  7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or just until set
  8. Cool slightly
  9. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack
  10. Cool completely Makes about 4 12 dozen cookies
