Dutch Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 34 c sugar
  • 1 c chopped apples
  • 12 c chopped pecans
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Beat egg in mixer bowl until foamy
  2. Add sugar beat well Add apples pecans flour baking powder and vanilla mix well Pour into greased and floured 4 x 8-inch loaf pan
  3. Bake at 300 for 35 minutes
  4. Remove to wire rack to cool
  5. Serve warm with whipped cream
  6. Cake will rise to top of pan and fall leaving a crusty top
