Dutch Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1 3 lb head cabbage shredded
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 1 c vinegar

Directions

  1. Combine cabbage pepper and onion
  2. Pour sugar over and set aside
  3. Combine salt dry mustard celery seed and vinegar in a saucepan and bring to a boil
  4. Pour over cabbage and stir
  5. Let refrigerate overnight
  6. Serves 12 and will keep a week
  7. Recipe can be cut down 12 or 14
