Easiest Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 14 c butter or margarine
  • 1 14 c self-rising flour
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 23 c buttermilk

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 450
  2. In a skillet melt butter in oven
  3. Remove pan from oven
  4. Measure flour and sugar into bowl
  5. Add buttermilk
  6. Stir just until dough forms about 30 strokes
  7. Turn dough onto well-floured cloth covered or waxed paper board Roll dough to coat with flour
  8. Knead lightly about 10 times Roll out less than 12 inch thick
  9. Cut with floured biscuit cutter
  10. Dip each in butter on both sides
  11. Bake 10 to 12 minutes
