Easy Asparagus Au Gratin
Ingredients
- 4 cans asparagus spears
- 4 Tbsp margarine
- 14 c flour
- 12 tsp salt
- 18 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 8 oz grated sharp cheese
- 2 c milk
- 12 c blanched sliced almonds
- 12 c cracker crumbs
- 2 Tbsp butter
Directions
- Sauce
- Melt margarine in a saucepan
- Stir in flour until well blended
- Slowly stir in 2 cups milk
- When sauce is smooth and hot reduce heat and stir in cheese
- Season with salt pepper Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce
