Easy Asparagus Au Gratin

Ingredients

  • 4 cans asparagus spears
  • 4 Tbsp margarine
  • 14 c flour
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 18 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire
  • 8 oz grated sharp cheese
  • 2 c milk
  • 12 c blanched sliced almonds
  • 12 c cracker crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Directions

  1. Sauce
  2. Melt margarine in a saucepan
  3. Stir in flour until well blended
  4. Slowly stir in 2 cups milk
  5. When sauce is smooth and hot reduce heat and stir in cheese
  6. Season with salt pepper Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce
