Easy Pineapple Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix divided Duncan Hines
  • 1 c brown sugar packed
  • 34 c walnuts chopped
  • 12 stick butter firm
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 12 c sour cream
  • 1 tsp almond flavoring
  • 1 1 lb 4 oz can crushed pineapple drained

Directions

  1. Mix together 23 cup of the dry cake mix brown sugar walnuts and butter
  2. Cut with pastry cutter until crumbly reserve
  3. Beat together eggs sour cream flavoring and remaining cake mix Spread half of cake batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking container
  4. Top with half the pineapple and sprinkle with half the brown sugar mixture
  5. Spoon remaining batter over brown sugar mixture
  6. Spread gently with spoon
  7. Top with remaining pineapple and sprinkle with brown sugar mixture
  8. Bake at 350 for 55 to 60 minutes
  9. Makes 16 to 20 pieces
