Easy Spaghetti Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 7 oz or 12 1 lb pkg vermicelli thin spaghetti cooked as pkg directs and drained
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 12 c chopped onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 32 oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 4 oz can mushroom stems and pieces drained
  • 1 tsp basil leaves
  • 1 c 4 oz shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. In large skillet brown meat pour off fat
  3. Add onion cook and stir until tender
  4. Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti and cheese
  5. Simmer 10 minutes Stir in cooked spaghetti
  6. Turn into greased 2-quart shallow baking dish 12 x 7-inches
  7. Bake 20 minutes and top with cheese Bake 5 minutes longer
  8. Refrigerate leftovers
