Egg Foo Young

Ingredients

  • 1 c cooked ham pork chicken etc I use leftover roast and roast gravy
  • 1 c well drained bean sprouts
  • 34 c chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 12 tsp Accent
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 6 to 8 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp cold water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp La Choy brown molasses Chinese brown sauce
  • 1 can chicken broth

Directions

  1. Mix first 6 ingredients
  2. Drop by 12 cup into heated oil in skillet
  3. Do not crowd omelets
  4. Turn once when lightly browned Transfer drained patties to warm platter
  5. Serve omelets over rice topped with gravy made from last 6 ingredients cook until thickens or leftover roast gravy or canned gravy to which soy sauce and Chinese brown sauce has been added
  6. Chinese noodles green onions celery etc make nice additions to meal
