Egg Pastry

Ingredients

  • 3 c sifted plain flour
  • 1 c Snowdrift
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 12 c ice water more if needed

Directions

  1. Sift together flour and salt
  2. Cut in shortening
  3. Beat egg slightly
  4. Add water and vinegar
  5. Add gradually to dry ingredients just enough to hold dough together
  6. Makes 3 to 4 pie crusts or a big pot of dumplings
  7. Good in freezer or can freeze and have ready to cook
