Electric Frypan Swiss Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 12 to 3 lb round steak
  • 13 c flour
  • 2 to 3 onions peeled and sliced
  • 2 Tbsp fat
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 18 tsp pepper
  • chopped parsley
  • 1 clove garlic peeled and cut fine
  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • 1 12 c cooked tomatoes or 12 c chili sauce
  • 12 c water
  • 12 green pepper sliced

Directions

  1. On a breadboard pound flour into both sides of steak cut into serving pieces until flour is absorbed
  2. Preheat frypan to 360 Add fat and onions saute until golden in color about 3 minutes Remove from fat
  3. Change frypan setting to 400 and add a tablespoon of fat
  4. Then brown steak on both sides about 10 to 20 minutes
  5. Sprinkle browned meat with salt and pepper add the sauteed onions garlic celery tomatoes and pepper slices
  6. Cover and set frypan at 220
  7. Simmer until the meat is tender about 1 12 hours
  8. Sprinkle with parsley when serving
