Elephant Ears

Ingredients

  • 14 C Butter or Margarine melted
  • 1 C Flour
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 12 tsp Baking Powder
  • 12 tsp Salt
  • 13 C Milk
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • Sugar

Directions

  1. Stir flour 2 tbsp sugar baking soda and salt Stir in milk and 3 tbsp of melted butter Mix until dough forms
  2. Sprinkle surface lightly with flour Knead dough 10 times
  3. Roll dough with rolling pin into a rectangle 9x5 inches
  4. Brush with remaining melted butter Sprinkle mixture of 3 tbsp sugar and cinnamon Roll dough up tightly beginning at narrow end Pinch end of dough to seal Cut into 4 equal pieces Place cut side up on greased cookie sheet Pat into circle Sprinkle with more sugar Bake at 425 for 8 to 10 min Remove from cookie sheet immediately Let cool on wire rack
