English Muffin Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 c flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 pkg dry yeast
  • 14 tsp baking soda
  • 2 c milk
  • 14 c water
  • cornmeal

Directions

  1. Stir flour sugar yeast and baking soda together
  2. Heat 2 cups of milk and 14 cup water
  3. Add to dry mixture beat well Stir in enough flour to make stiff batter about 2 14 cups
  4. May substitute wheat flour here if preferred
  5. Spoon into 2 greased pans dusted with cornmeal
  6. Let rise for 45 minutes
  7. Bake at 400 for 25 minutes until well brown
