English Muffins In A Loaf
Ingredients
- 5 12 to 6 c flour
- 2 pkg yeast
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 14 tsp baking soda
- 2 c milk
- cornmeal
Directions
- Combine 3 cups flour yeast sugar salt and baking soda Heat liquids until very warm
- Add to dry mixture and beat well Stir in enough remaining flour to make a stiff batter
- Spoon into two 8 12 x 4 12-inch pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal
- Sprinkle top of batter with cornmeal
- Cover let rise in warm place for 45 to 60 minutes
- Bake at 400 for 25 minutes
- Turn out of pans while bread is still warm
