English Nut Toffee

Ingredients

  • 2 c granulated sugar
  • 1 12 c white corn syrup
  • 13 tsp salt
  • 1 12 c thin cream
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c almonds

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients except butter and vanilla into saucepan and boil until it forms a firm ball in water
  2. Add vanilla and butter
  3. Pour into buttered pan and mark into squares while warm
