Ingredients

  • 8 oz flour
  • 2 oz butter or margarine
  • 1 oz sugar
  • 2 oz sultanas raisins
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • a little milk

Directions

  1. Rub the butter and flour until they resemble fine bread crumbs Stir in the baking powder sugar and sultanas
  2. Add the milk to make a sticky dough and turn onto a floured surface
  3. Knead gently then roll flat about 1-inch thick and cut out circles
  4. Place on floured baking tray
  5. Brush with milk
  6. Bake at 220C for 10 to 20 minutes
  7. Spread with butter and jam to taste
