English Trifle
Ingredients
- 1 pkg yellow cake mix cooked
- 1 16 oz pkg frozen strawberries
- 1 pkg vanilla pudding prepared
- 1 pkg whipped topping 13 12 oz
- 14 slivered almonds toasted
Directions
- Bake cake in oblong pan according to directions on box
- This only uses half the cake you can find someone baking on the same day and share
- Break 14 of the cake into large pieces and place in a 2-quart serving bowl
- Pour half the thawed strawberries over the cake
- Spread with half of prepared pudding
- Repeat layers Chill at least 8 hours
- Right before serving spread whipped topping on top and sprinkle with almonds
- Spoon into dessert dishes to serve
