English Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix cooked
  • 1 16 oz pkg frozen strawberries
  • 1 pkg vanilla pudding prepared
  • 1 pkg whipped topping 13 12 oz
  • 14 slivered almonds toasted

Directions

  1. Bake cake in oblong pan according to directions on box
  2. This only uses half the cake you can find someone baking on the same day and share
  3. Break 14 of the cake into large pieces and place in a 2-quart serving bowl
  4. Pour half the thawed strawberries over the cake
  5. Spread with half of prepared pudding
  6. Repeat layers Chill at least 8 hours
  7. Right before serving spread whipped topping on top and sprinkle with almonds
  8. Spoon into dessert dishes to serve
