Fanny Farmer Fudge

Ingredients
- 4 12 c sugar
- 14 oz can Carnation milk
- 12 lb butter
- 3 Tbsp vanilla
- 18 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Mix sugar and milk in a large saucepan and bring mixture to boil cook 8 minutes stirring constantly
- Use a wooden spoon to stir
- Remove from heat and add butter vanilla and chocolate chips
- Stir until thick and let cool about 15 minutes
- Add walnuts and pecans if desired
- Pour into buttered 10 x 14-inch pan
