FarmerS Doughnuts

Ingredients

• 13 c shortening
• 34 c sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 12 c sifted all-purpose flour
• 1 12 tsp baking powder
• 14 tsp salt
• 13 tsp nutmeg
• 12 c applesauce or milk

Directions

1. Grease and flour 12 muffin tins
2. Preheat oven to 350
3. Cream shortening sugar and egg
4. Sift flour baking powder salt and nutmeg
5. Add to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce or milk
6. Fill muffin cups 23 full
7. Bake 30 minutes or until done
