Farmhouse Pork And Apple Pie

Ingredients

• 1 lb bacon cut in 2-inch pieces
• 3 lb pork cubed
• 3 tart apples peeled and chopped
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 c apple cider
• 4 medium potatoes peeled and cubed
• 3 medium onions chopped
• 34 c flour
• 1 tsp rubbed sage
• 12 tsp nutmeg
• 14 tsp pepper
• 12 c water
• 12 c milk
• 5 Tbsp butter divided

Directions

1. Cook bacon in an ovenproof 12-inch skillet until crisp Remove to paper towel to drain
2. Saute onions until tender remove and set aside
