Festive Fruitcake

Ingredients
- 2 c water
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 166 oz pkg date bread mix or 154 oz nut bread mix
- 2 c chopped pecans
- 2 c raisins
- 2 c 12 to 13 oz candied cherries
- 1 c candied pineapple cut up
- corn syrup if desired
Directions
- Heat oven to 350
- Grease and flour sides and bottom of tube pan
- In large bowl combine water oil and eggs
- Add remaining ingredients except syrup
- Stir by hand until combined
- Pour into prepared pan and bake 75 to 85 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean on low oven rack
- Cool in pan 30 minutes
- Loosen and remove from pan
- Cool completely
- Wrap to keep refrigerated 2 weeks or freeze 3 months
