Fig Preserve Cake

Ingredients
- 1 12 c sugar
- 2 c all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 12 tsp ground allspice
- 12 tsp ground cloves
- 1 c vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1 c fig preserves
- 12 c chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions
- Combine first 8 ingredients in a large mixing bowl
- Add oil and eggs beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer
- Add buttermilk and vanilla beating well
- Stir in preserves and pecans
