Filet Mignon With Horseradish Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 34 oz pkg brown gravy mix
- 1 to 2 Tbsp prepared horseradish
- 1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms drained
- 4 5 oz beef tenderloin steaks
- 14 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
- garnish with tomato wedges and fresh parsley sprigs
Directions
- Prepare gravy according to package directions stir in horseradish and mushrooms
- Set aside
- Heat a heavy nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot
- Add steaks and cook 1 minute on each side
- Steaks will be rare
- Place in a lightly greased 1 quart baking dish
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Pour gravy over steaks bake at 350 uncovered for 15 minutes or until desired degree of doneness
- Garnish if desired
