Firehouse Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 large 3 to 4-inches across top onion per serving
  • 18-inch slice butter per slice of onion

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Skin the onion and slice from top until almost through the bottom
  3. Slices should be approximately 14-inch thick
  4. Place the 18-inch butter pat between each slice Wrap each prepared onion in aluminum foil and twist the top closed
  5. Place in a baking pan for approximately 1 hour or until soft when lightly squeezed
