Flaming Pears

Ingredients
- 1 16 oz can sliced pears
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- 12 c packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 14 c rum
- ground cinnamon
- vanilla ice cream
- red grapes and lime wedges optional
Directions
- Toss the pears in the lime juice
- Set aside in a medium skillet
- Heat the brown sugar and butter or margarine
- Stir in half of the rum
- Stir in pear slices
- Cook until pears are heated through for about 1 minute
- Transfer pear slices to a serving dish
- Sprinkle with cinnamon
- Pour remaining rum to skillet
- Heat over low heat until hot
- Remove from heat
- Ignite rum and pour over pears
- Serve over ice cream
- Garnish with grapes and lime slices
