Floating Island Punch

Ingredients

  • 12 c sugar
  • 1 6 oz can frozen lemon juice
  • 3 6 oz cans frozen orange juice
  • 1 qt sparkling water or white grape juice
  • 1 4 oz bottle maraschino cherries and juice
  • 1 pt lemon or orange sherbet
  • 1 qt ginger ale
  • 1 c water
  • ice cubes
  • 1 orange sliced thin

Directions

  1. Heat sugar and water until sugar dissolves cool
  2. Combine fruit juices ginger ale sparkling water and fruit
  3. Add syrup pour into punch bowl
  4. Add ice cubes
  5. Drop in sherbet by spoonful or in balls using an ice cream dipper
  6. Makes 20 to 25 servings
