Flossie'S Gingerbread

Ingredients

• 1/2 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. shortening
• 1 egg
• 1 1/2 tsp. soda
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tsp. ginger
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 2 1/2 c. flour
• 1 c. hot water
• 1 c. molasses

Directions

1. Mix in order given and bake in loaf pan in moderate oven, 350°.
